Revolutionary War Period Teardrop Shape Standing Wooden Canteen 
A rarely seen canteen type measuring approximately 11 ¼-inches tall; 5 ½-inches wide and 4 ¼-inches deep. 

Featuring teardrop-shaped front and rear panels with slats held by ¾-inch wide metal bands. 

Iron lanyard rings are mounted on either side to which is currently mounted a chain 

The bottom of the canteen features two wooden legs to allow the canteen to rest securely upright. 
Condition: Very good condition. The wood exhibits a few nicks and scuffs, as expected for an item that is over 200 years old. 

The wood slats are solid and the metal bands quite tight. The metal has some rust as you would expect.
