Extremely rare horizontal revolving carbine GENHART system BEST OF BESTÂ
A small quantity of pistols is known ( see Little gun site) but carbines are never seen, only the second one I have witnessed and could ber the same. Condition is excellent showing most of the blue finish on the disk ( barrels wer ein the white) and gold plated numbers. Has a proofmark N under a crown, the sight has multiple leafes. The disk is marked H.GENHART BREVETE, left side had a lever to forward the barrel, so the disk can be realesed, the disk is charged with fulminate pellets, powder an d ball. . Total length is 96 cm. Outstanding revolving carbine, in superior condition. BEST OF BEST

Super rare carabine à tourelles GENHART inventée par G. GHAYE de VOTTEM et dont le brevet du 14 Juillet 1856 porte le n° 3129 .
Il est maintenant établi que G.GHAYE aurait cédé son brevet à H. GENHART de LIEGE (voir article dans le magazine du Musée d’Armes de LIEGE).
GENHART quant à lui ne serait que co-auteur du brevet 9306/1860 pour un sertisseur-découpeur à cartouches Lefaucheux.
