A Civil War era .30 caliber "Cupfire" front loading revolver by Eagle Arms Co. New York. Around 1864.

the revolver is in very good condition, it keeps 85% of the silver on the frame and 70% of original blue on the barrel and 85% of original blue on the barrel. The interior of the barrel is like a new mirror.

The 3-inch octagonal barrel stamped on the top; EAGLE ARMS. CO NEW YORK. The barrel marked PATENTED 12 JULY 1859 & 21 JULY 1863. The extractor is stamped PAT MAY 3 1864

These rare revolvers were manufactured by The Eagle Manufacturing Company of New York and sold by Plant's Manufacturing Company of New Haven. Only 20,000 of these revolvers were made and this example is serial number 2757.
