First model Winchester Hotchkiss bolt action carbine, cal 45-70

First model Winchester Hotchkiss bolt action carbine, cal 45-70  . serial 5433, built in 1880. Minty inside bore,  As almost always the case, you can see light fissures under the bolt, but the integrity of the stock is fine,. Overall 75 % orig. blue, works perfect, stock has some dings at the front, can be seen in the pictures.  Approx 25 % of the frist 6420 made were carbines, so only approx 1500 made of this model.   excellent early Winchester.
