Conversion of the Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver

Caliber: .38 rimfire

Serial number: 97 (1 below the serial number),

                  fully numbered wedge not numbered

Year of construction: 1870

Barrel Length: 7 ½ Inch

barrel address: -ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA

Frame: Old Colts Patent stamp

Details: Walnut grips, cylinder scene is still clearly visible, old 36 cal designation on trigger guard

General condition: a good gray brown condition,

works perfect 100%

Details: Serial numbering for this type can be divided into 2 groups, the first was produced in the early 1870s from leftover parts and was thus built, these were originally not percussion revolvers, the serial numbering started around 100 and ends around 3300, the second group concerns percussion revolvers which have been returned to be converted, the serial numbering usually handles 4 digit numbers.

This probably concerns a first week of production from the first group.

The conversion is the same as the Richard-Mason Colt 1860 Army conversion.
