Colt 1851 Navy SQUAREBACK, cal ,36 RARE

serialnumber 888,  no number onlever, otherwise matching, including the wedge. Overall light grey. Barreladress is excellent, no patentmarkings on frame, often seen on these early colt's.  This is for the moment the lowest number known for a second type, having the wedgescrew  situated above the wedge.  Flaykderman states that the first types, having the screw below the wedge  were masde upt o approx 1250, but proof has surfaced  that only approx 800 to 850 were made as  a first model.

The orig. grips are fine , no damage.  works excellent and has surprisingly very deep and good rifling.  Only traces of the cylinderscene are visible and  has pitting on about 20 % of the cylinder surface.  Serialnumber is fully visible.  Rare navy
