US Colt single action Cavalry, inspected by Renaldo A CARR, cal 45 colt PLUS LETTER

serialnumber 137013, all matching, including the barrel, shipped december 1890,

In fact this is a very interesting single action Us, who had different lifes,

It started as a standard Sa Cavalry. and it falls in the middle of the New York Militia arms, I couldnot find it on the list, but it is so close to the ones knowwn, that it probably rended up there.
BUT, it is also the rarest of the variations of a artillery that can be found.
There are several variations known.
The most  avaliable are the ones with mixed serialnumbers and 5 1/2 inch barrel.  Then there are variations having partial mixed and then the matching ones.
also there are several  known still having the 7 1/2 inch barrel with mixed serials.
Only  a few have been observeds having all correct serialnumbers.  This ment that it was in excellent shape when it had to be refurbished.  This one was done by colt, since they blued the frames, and this one has a blued frame.

The subinspector that inspected this one has left his inspector mark on the triggerguard and inside of the ejectorhousing, indicating, it got inspected around the turn of the century and re-delivered to the army or the militia at that time.

This is a 100 % correct unaltered colt Us single action, not showing any inspectormark on the grips, which could indicate that these were replaced at the time of the reburbishement, or just worn off.

The bore is fine, excellent grooves showing light markings. adress and markings are all sharp. All parts genuine original parts.

Retaining approx 90 % of the dulling military blue.

If you are looking for an exceptional rare Sa US, this is it.
