Daniels underhammer percussion revolving turret rifle  ; FLAYDERMAN p 713, ITEM 15-006;  Less then 5 0 made, This one is a large caliber, over 50.

A lot of confusion excists about this type of horizontal revolving rifle. They were made by  Cochran and  also the company Daniels. Daniels worked together with Cochran and started his own company.

A third company made this type of rifle, probably out of Poughskeepsie, New York, can be identified by the long extension of the topstrap going up to the comb of the stock.  These are the rarest of all and are never seen for sale.  Also they have brass butstocks , where as the others hae iron.  This is a 7 shot and it works fine,  the barrel is retaining approx 85 % of the orig. browning , the first part is octagonal, the rest is round.  No markings at all  and there never were.  The stock is original and in good shape showing some dings and scratches. This underhammer rifle has a smooth bore in perfgect shape, seems to be unfired, left side is showing english 19th century proofmarks,  Fully functional and in great shape. Probably your only chance to own one of these.  BEST OF BEST
