Original Civil War Clauberg M1850 "US" Officer's Sword
Original Civil War Clauberg M1850 "US" Officer's Sword in quality condition. The handle is in great shape with beautiful brass patina. The blade is full length with patriotic eagle etching designs. The scabbard is complete and also in great condition.
Has really nice deepaend profound etching. This example was imported from the Solingen based firm, W. Clauberg.
Clauberg was based in Solingen, Prussia (now Germany). Many of the finest Civil War presentation sword blades originated from Clauberg. The ricasso is marked with the “standing knight” logo with W. CLAUBERG / SOLINGEN surrounding it.
The sheath is retaining the orignal leather and brass rings. Fine plus.
