RARE 2 INCH National Arms single shot N° 1 deringer, cal 41 short rimfire  . flayderman P. 497/498, item 8A 098
approx 6000  made in iron and brass frame, the brass frame is more difficult to find.   This company started in 1865 and was bought up by Colt in 1870, so all NATIONAL  marked deringers date from before 1870.  Standard they have a 2 1/2 inch barrel, extremely rare to be found with a 2 inch barrel, as this one.

Nice refined engraving, barrel still has 90 % of the original silver, adress is sharp  Bore is excellent, works fine, the hammer has all the knurling, often parts broken of on top, but not this one.  Excellent shooter.  the firt model having the short barrel is extremely hard to find, once in a while I will see a second model but not a first.
