Factory engraved remington New Navy conversion to 38 Rimfire   Flayderman P 163, item 5E 022

Not many remingtons were factory engraved, this one has the typical floral engraving on the frame. . Barrellength is correct, beeing 7 3/8 of an inch. Grips are fine, no damage, a few light dings.

Deep rifling, showing no spots, adress is correct , Serialnumber 44061 ( item 3027 , is the same type revolver in centerfire, has serialnumber 44016) .  This one is in fact NOT a conversion.  The ones with the added ejectorpin, that folds into the lever, were made by Remington directly as a center- or fimfire revolver.  they still had a lot of parts in inventory and used these up, making conversions, but not from the already excisting stock of finished guns.  My number 2146 on my site is a nickled version of the same gun , BUT number 2146  was born as a percussion gun and has thus not the ejector, also that is a rimfire.

Overall about 85 % of the dulled blue,  works perfect and is completely original. only a handfull of these conversions were factory engraved,.   good shooter.  Very tight and great bore. RARE
