Remington army framed target model in cal 22 short  RARE Model of 1887. Pictured in the Remington book of rolling block pistols, page 194 through 196.

Made in different calibers 22 short, ss LR, 25 RF 32 SW and 50 centerfire.  all of these calibers together had a production of 850. And approx 30 % were in 22.  So approx 250 to 260 built.  Very rare to find one.

This one is completely standard with an 8 inch round barrel,  none adjustable rear sight is dovetailed and the front sightis the correct  German silver blade.

No barreladress, but as stipulated in the text, only about 1/3 th of the production had an adress.   Serialnumbers aqre visible under the grips, mixed in with assembly numbers.

14 serialnumbers are known for the caliber 22; mentioned in the book, since then 5 others surfaced, not including tnhis one. Which is serialnumber 246, bringing the total of the ones in excistance to 20.

All markings on the frame are deeply struck. Overall medium grey showing dark spots, blue under the front stock, the breechblock is retaining all the blue. Grip is fine.  Truly a very rare remington.
